Understanding IONOS-managed SSL certificates
Valid for: MyWebsite, WordPress Hosting, Web Hosting, and ASP.NET Hosting (Windows Hosting)
With IONOS-managed SSL certificates, IONOS handles the technical installation and also takes care of renewing the certificate regularly.
This certificate type is used to secure websites created with the MyWebsite, WordPress Hosting, Web Hosting, or ASP.NET Hosting product families.
With MyWebsite and WordPress Hosting, the certificate is automatically requested and set up for the corresponding domain when the website is set up.
Redirect Shield and Redirect Shield+
The certificates included in the Redirect Shield and Redirect Shield+ packages are also fully managed by IONOS: they are issued, installed, and renewed automatically. You do not need to download or integrate any certificate files. These certificates are intended exclusively for domains that redirect to another website.
