The Usercentrics app for MyWebsite Creator will no longer be developed or supported as of November 2024. This article informs you about the alternative consent management platform, Termly. The Pro version of Termly can be used free of charge by IONOS customers.
Please note that paid Usercentrics plans can still be used via the use of a script (HTML code snippet). How to integrate a script is described in the section "Use alternative consent management solutions" in this article.
Please Note
IONOS recommends switching to a fee-based Usercentrics plan or an alternative Consent Management Platform (CMP) for security reasons and to meet the requirements of the GDPR. The CMP is generally a matter of personal choice.
Install the Termly app in MyWebsite Creator
Termly is an external consent management platform (CMP) that allows visitors to your website to consent to or reject the use of cookies.
- Log in to your IONOS account.
- Open the editor of your MyWebsite Creator project.
- Click on More > My apps in the MyWebsite Creator navigation.
- Search for the term "Termly" and click on Install.
- Select the Termly Pro package. This version of Termly is free for IONOS customers.
- Republish your website to apply the changes.

Use alternative consent management solutions
Alternative CMPs can be inserted into a MyWebsite Creator design element using a script (HTML code snippet):
- Copy the HTML code snippet from the CMP you have selected.
- Open your MyWebsite Creator project via your IONOS account.
- Click on Elements > HTML in the MyWebsite Creator navigation
- Paste the copied HTML code snippet.
- Republish your MyWebsite Creator project to apply the changes.
