  • If you have multiple contracts, click on Manage website in the tile with the name of your online project.

Add navigation to header and footer

Standard navigation

A default navigation is created from the page structure that you have defined via the MyWebsite Now menu item Pages. The Help Center article "Managing pages" explains how to do this. The default navigation can only contain pages from your MyWebsite Now project.

To select a default navigation in the header and footer:

  • Click on Content in the menu bar of the MyWebsite Now website editor.
  • In the live website preview of the header or footer, move the mouse pointer over the top right-hand corner of the navigation until the Manage and Style buttons are displayed.
  • Click on Manage > Default. The default navigation is used.
Custom navigation

Custom navigation can contain links to other destinations in addition to the pages of your MyWebsite Now project. To create a custom navigation in the header and footer:

  • Click on Content in the menu bar of the MyWebsite Now editor.
  • In the live website preview of the header or footer, move the mouse pointer over the top right-hand corner of the navigation until the Manage and Style buttons are displayed.
  • Click on Manage > Custom. A menu appears in which you can add navigation elements.
  • Click the Add button to create a navigation element. A placeholder is created that still needs to be customized.

The newly created navigation element contains icons for further editing:

  • Pencil icon: Opens an additional toolbar that shows you the available options or destinations for the navigation element:
    - Website: existing page from your MyWebsite Now project
    - External: link to an webpage
    - Email: mailto link to an email address
    - Phone: callable phone number
    - WhatsApp: more details on the setup can be found in the Help Center article "Using WhatsApp with MyWebsite Now"
    - Store: category or products of your shop. Please note that the shop must be included in your tariff.
  • Trash icon: Deletes the navigation element.
  • Arrow symbol: Allows you to move the navigation element by holding down the left mouse button.

Once you have created all navigation elements, finish your editing with Done.
