Integrating a Shared Storage on a Server (Windows)

For Cloud Servers and Dedicated Servers with the Microsoft Windows Server 2019 or Microsoft Windows Server 2022 operating systems managed in the Cloud Panel

To mount shared storage on your server, simply follow the steps below.

Prerequisites

  • You have set the access permissions for the desired server in the detailed view of the shared storage.

  • You have taken note of the CIFS path of the desired shared storage.

  • Establish a remote desktop connection to your server.

  • Log in to the server.

  • Open the Windows Explorer.

  • Click on This PC in the navigation bar on the left.

  • In the menu bar, click Computer > Connect network drive.

  • In the Folder field, enter the CIFS path.

  • Select the Connect to other credentials check box.

  • Click Finish.

    The Windows Security window appears.

  • Enter the user name and password for the shared storage.

  • Click OK.

    The connection to the shared storage should now be established.
