In a private network, the servers communicate via local IPs that are not routed in the Internet. To use a server in a private network, you must configure the network interface on the server. To configure the network interface, proceed as follows:

Prerequisites
  • You have created a private network.

  • In the Cloud Panel you have assigned the desired server to the private network.

  • You have logged in to the server.

Please Note

Once the server has been assigned to the private network, an additional virtual network adapter with the information "Unidentified Network" is displayed to you in the network connections.

  • Open the Control Panel.

  • Click Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center.

  • Click the additional virtual network adapter with the information Unidentified network.

  • Click Properties.

  • Double-click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP / IPv4).

  • In the IP Address: field, enter the desired IP address from the private IP address range. In the following example, the server will use the IP address 192.168.0.3.

  • In the Subnet Mask field, type 255.255.255.0.

  • Optional: If the server should not be used as a DNS server, enter in the Preferred DNS server: field the IP address 10.255.255.1.

  • Click OK.

The server is now accessible under the selected IP in the private network.
