Reassigning a Block Storage to a Different Server
You can reassign your block storage to another cloud server at any time. After reassigning the block storage, you may have to adjust the disk configuration in the operating system of your server. Please proceed as follows to assign a block storage to another cloud server.
Prerequisites
You are in the Infrastructure > Block Storage section of the Cloud Panel.
You have not merged the block storage with a boot partition into a single drive.
Please Note
If you have merged the boot partition and block storage into one volume and want to assign the block storage to another cloud server, inconsistencies may occur in the file system, so that the file system may no longer be accessible.
Select the desired block storage.
Click on the pencil icon next to Assigned to.
Select the server to which you want to assign the block storage.
Click Save Changes.
The block storage will now be reassigned.
