For IONOS Linux servers with Plesk Onyx
In this article, we'll show you how to set up a IONOS-registered domain on your Linux server in Plesk.
You have already registered the desired domain.
You have enabled port 8443 in the firewall policy assigned to your server.
You have not yet logged into Plesk.
First Plesk Login
The login data for Plesk can be found in the Infrastructure > Servers section of the Cloud Panel. Select the desired server and then scroll to the Plesk menu item. The link to the admin area of Plesk as well as the user name and the initial password for the administrator account are displayed there.
How to log in to Plesk as an administrator:
In the address bar of your browser, enter the IP address and server port 8443 in the following format:
The message This is not a secure connection or Your connection is not private appears.
If you are using Chrome, click Proceed to [YOUR ADDRESS] (unsafe). If you are using Mozilla Firefox, click Accept risk and proceed.
Log in to Plesk as an administrator.
Read and accept the license terms.
Connecting the Domain to the Static IP Address of the Server
In the navigation bar on the left, click Websites & Domains.
Click Add Domain.
Enter the desired domain name in the Domain name field.
Enter the desired username in the Username field.
Enter the password in the Password field and repeat it.
Optional: Activate the Enable Git Support option.
To add the domain, click OK. The domain is now set up. A message in the following format will be displayed:
Do you want to connect [DOMAINNAME] to Plesk automatically? Connect using Domain Connect
To connect the domain to the static IP address of the server, click the Connect using Domain Connect link. The Connect your IONOS domain to Web Hosting on Plesk window opens.
Log in to IONOS.
Your domain is now connected to Plesk Onyx.
