This article explains how to change the password of your IONOS account. Please note that this article requires a successful login to your IONOS account. If you cannot log in there, first read the Help Center article Resetting your IONOS account password.

Notes

  • If you have created a fixed phone PIN and reset the password for your IONOS, or set a new password, the fixed phone PIN will be deactivated. You can find more information on this in the Help Center article Creating and using a phone PIN.

Perform password change

  • Log in to your IONOS account.
  • Click on Menu > My account in the title bar. The My account page opens.

  • Click on the Login & account security tile. The Login & account security page opens.

  • In the Password section, click Change password. The Change password page opens.
  • Enter your new password.
  • To save the password, click on Change password.

For security reasons, you will be logged out of your IONOS account account after changing your password. You can then log in again immediately with your new password.
