Anti-spam at a glance
Anti-spam refers to a software solution that enables users to prevent or limit the delivery of spam emails. It automatically scans all incoming emails in an email inbox.
During the scans, email addresses and IP addresses known to be sources of spam emails or malware are identified – the scan also detects characteristics typical of spam emails, such as the structure and content of the email. The anti-spam solution updates itself automatically.
As soon as the anti-spam solution identifies an email as spam, it flags it as such and, if desired, can move it directly to a separate spam folder. Furthermore, if the user has set up a list of blocked senders, all incoming emails from the email addresses listed there are treated as spam.
