Setting Up and Managing Premium Anycast
Activate Premium Anycast for your domains and benefit from the advantages of a global DNS network with Anycast technology.
Requirements
- You have registered your domain with IONOS or added it as an external domain to your IONOS account.
- You are using the DNS Pro add-on feature.
- Your domain extension is DNSSEC compatible.
- Your domain uses the default IONOS name servers.
- Secondary DNS must be deactivated.
Edit DNS Settings
The function described in this article can be found in the DNS settings in your IONOS account.
Log In Now and Open DNS SettingsOpen DNS Settings Now
Activating Premium Anycast
- Open the DNS settings of the domain for which you want to activate Premium Anycast.
- In the Premium Anycast area, click Activate.
Premium Anycast is now activated. This may take a moment. Afterwards, your domain will use the fast Anycast DNS network.
Activating DNSSEC
- Open the DNS settings of the domain for which you want to enable DNSSEC.
- In the DNSSEC section, click Activate.
DNSSEC is now activated for your domain.
Please Note
It may take up to 48 hours for this change to take effect worldwide.
Deactivating Premium Anycast
You can deactivate Premium Anycast at any time:
- Open the DNS settings of the domain concerned.
- Click on Deactivatein the Premium Anycast area.
Premium Anycast is now deactivated. This may take a moment. Afterwards, your domain will use the standard DNS network again.
