Adding payment methods to your IONOS Online Store

Valid for Online Stores ordered from 2017 onwards.
With different payment methods, you enable your customers to pay with numerous services, e.g. credit card or PayPal. This article explains how to add a payment method to your IONOS Online Store.
Set up payment method
Log in to your IONOS account.
In the title bar, click on Menu > Websites & Stores.
Optional: Select the desired website.- Click on Manage website.
- On the Manage and edit your Online-Store page, click Manage your Online Store.
- In the administration interface, select Settings in the left-hand menu.
- Click on Payment in the menu that opens.
Please note: Prepayment, invoice, cash on delivery, and cash payment are already entered as system defaults. If you do not want to offer a payment method, click on it and either click on the Visibility dropdown and select Set to not visible, or click on the trash can next to the Visibility dropdown to delete it. - Under Set up your shop payment methods, you will be able to add a PayPal account or manual payment method. Select the applicable option, then follow the respective steps to set up the payment provider.
- Under Sorting, you can enter a value according to which the individual payment methods in the Online Store are sorted for the customer.
- If you have not yet completed setting up the payment provider, you can do this at any time by clicking on Complete in order to subsequently establish the connection to the respective payment provider and follow the corresponding instructions.
