Publishing posts on your website and social media

Valid for List Local

Posts created with List Local inform your website visitors about current topics. You can display created posts via an HTML widget on your website or content management system, e.g. WordPress. They can also be published on your social media accounts. This article explains how to create posts and schedule them to publish on demand.

Create posts

Log in to your IONOS account.
In the title bar, click on Menu > Online Marketing > List Local: Open.
Please note: If you are running List Local for the first time, the setup wizard will now start. The following steps assume that you have already completed this setup.
Click on Social > Posts in the left menu.
Click on New post in the top right corner.
Under Create New Post, select the destinations for your post. Multiple selection is possible.
Create a post using the other options and fields on the page.
Complete the creation of the post by clicking Submit. The post is displayed in a list in the List Local menu under Posts.

Time-controlled publication of posts

Log in to your IONOS account.
In the title bar, click on Menu > Online Marketing > List Local: Open.
Please note: If you are running List Local for the first time, the setup wizard will now start. The following steps assume that you have already completed this setup.
Click on Social > Posts in the left menu.
Create a new post or select an existing post with the Edit button.
Under Additional options, edit the date and time for the desired publication date.

Create widget for your website

To publish posts on your website, you must first set up the widget:

Log in to your IONOS account.
In the title bar, click on Menu > Online Marketing > List Local: Open.
Please note: If you are running List Local for the first time, the setup wizard will now start. The following steps assume that you have already completed this setup.
Click on Location Hub in the left menu.
Click on the listing under Location that you'd like to implement.
Click on Website in the top List Local menu bar.
Click on Generate in the News Tile section. This only needs to be done once before the first use. The widget is created and detailed options are displayed.
Under Language, select the language for the news widget.
Copy the content from News Widget Snippet with Copy.
Paste the copied code into the HTML code of your website. If you are using a content management solution, such as WordPress, there are usually separate functions for this.
