HiDrive creates conflict files/folders when it cannot sync changes automatically. This article explains how to fix this problem.
Causes of Conflicts
- Content Conflicts: This happens when the same file was changed differently both locally and on another computer.
- Name Conflicts: Different objects share the same name in the same folder (same path), which can happen, for example, after moving files/folders.
Conflict Resolution
The following options exist for resolving the conflict manually:
- If the object is currently being accessed by a program, such as an open PDF document, close that program. HiDrive moves the local file to a conflict folder and downloads the version from the HiDrive cloud storage.
- For name conflicts, name the corresponding files differently in one location.
