Activate an SSL Certificate for the Online Store

To activate SSL encryption for your Online Store, set up your SSL certificate. You can do this quickly and easily in your own IONOS.

Requirements

Your Online Store is connected to a domain.
Connect a Domain

Step 1

Log in to the IONOS in using the link below. As soon as you are logged in, select the domain associated with your Online Store in the overview.
Set Up Your SSL Certificate

Step 2

To use your free SSL Starter Plus certificate, click Activate Now in the appropriate tile.

The Set Up SSl Certificate page appears.

Step 3

Make sure that the correct domain is selected and read and accept the Terms of Use.

Step 4

Click Set Up SSL Certificate.

The certificate will now be set up and your shop will be converted to SSL within a few minutes. Once the process is complete, you'll see a green padlock next to your domain in the IONOS.
