Uninstalling Cyber Protection Agent for a New Installation

For Cloud Backup

A simple troubleshooting option is to simply reinstall the Cyber Protection Agent, but first you must completely uninstall the Managed Backup Agent. To do this, follow the steps below.

Windows Server 2012, 2016, or 2019

  • Log in to the server as an administrator.

  • To open the Run window, press the key combination [Windows key] + [R].

  • To open the Control Panel, enter the command control and click OK.

  • Click Programs and Features (Windows 10) or Uninstall a program (Windows Server 2016 and Windows Server 2019).

  • Double-click Cyber Protection Agent.

  • Select the Remove logs and configuration settings option.

  • Click Uninstall.

The Cyber Protection Agent will be uninstalled.

Linux

  • Log in to the server as an administrator.

  • To uninstall the Cyber Protection Agent, enter the following command:
    [root@localhost ~]# sudo ./Backup_Agent_for_Linux_x86_64.bin -u -purge

The Cyber Protection Agent will be uninstalled.
